Q: Who is eligible to apply for the recognition program?
A: Public and private water sector utilities of all sizes that can demonstrate achievement of the application requirements are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have had no major violations of their National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit requirements for the previous year from the date of application.
Q: How do I apply?
A: PLease download the UotFT 2021 Application. Complete the application and upload the application to the Open Water online platform https://wef.secure-platform.com/a/solicitations/108/home by May 14, 2021 5:00 PM EDT.
Applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges comprised of peer utility general managers and executives.
Q: Is there a cost to apply for recognition?
A: The Recognition Program is free of cost to participants.
Q: When are the 2021 applications due?
A: Applications must be received by May 14, 2021, 5:00 PM EDT

Q: What format is required?
A: You can download a Word application at UotFT 2021 Application. Please complete the application and upload to Open Water as either a word document or a PDF at https://wef.secure-platform.com/a/solicitations/108/home.
Q: Can I include attachments with my application?
A: Attachments, including graphics, charts, photos or video will be accepted as part of an application package. A photograph is requested in the online portion of the application. Videos can not exceed 500 MB.
Q: When will applicants be informed if they are selected?
A: Applicants will be notified of judging decisions by June 14, 2021.
Q: What recognition will successful applicants receive?
A: Honorees for 2021 will be recognized at WEFTEC 2021 in Chicago, IL. Recognized utilities will receive a Certificate of Recognition, and/or a UotFT banner or 2021 flag.
