The Water Environment Federation is truly a global organization, with members in 78 countries, Member Associations and Corresponding Associations representing 36 countries, and partnering organizations on every continent (except Antarctica). We deeply value the international representation and relationships, as well as the collaboration with each one of them.

On Sunday, Oct. 4, at noon Eastern (16:00 UTC) we will spend 24 hours traveling around the world to hear from many of these water professionals and organizations about the work they are doing and to get everyone excited for the opening of WEFTEC Connect. (If you haven’t registered yet visit weftec.org).

WEF partners with like-minded organizations to advance the mission of clean water across the globe. Aside from the Member Associations, WEF collaborates with other organizations to develop programming, workshops, forums and special sessions and to make progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6 – clean water and sanitation.

Just like WEF taking a creative approach with WEFTEC Connect, we wanted to highlight what our numerous innovation partners worldwide are doing in this time where quick changes and pivoting has become the new normal. For example, our Innovation partners BlueTech Research and Imagine H2O have selected an impressive cohort of 18 companies for this year’s Innovation Pavilion in the WEFTEC Connect Exhibitor Showcase.

We will move around the world, with new videos every 30 minutes and stops in North America, Latin America, Oceania, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram using the #24HoursofWater. We’ll also hear from our friends in New Orleans, where we were supposed to see you all this year, and from friends in Chicago, where we will hold WEFTEC in 2021 and can’t wait to see all of you in-person.

We hope you enjoy the virtual journey and all that WEFTEC Connect has to offer that week. We are excited for how the 24 Hours of Water will highlight the joint commitment of water professionals around the world to clean water and a sustainable future.

So tune in to 24 Hours of Water and help us power up for WEFTEC Connect!
