During Water Week 2023, water leaders and experts from various organizations from across the nation came together to address critical issues in the water sector.
The two-day National Water Policy Fly-in, held April 25 and 26, provided an opportunity for attendees to network and gain valuable insights from esteemed senior officials of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other regulators as well as members of Congress. Participants got to meet and engage with legislators on Capitol Hill.
The Fly-In is co-hosted by WEF, the National Association of Clean Water Agencies, the Water Research Foundation, and the WateReuse Association.
Although Water Week has concluded, the work continues.
Each year all of the organizations participating in Water Week collaborate to produce a document listing the tools, policies, and resources the water sector needs to address water challenges.
This document, National Solutions for Local Water Challenges, is an excellent resource for all to use to speak to the local, state, or federal leaders with a unified voice.
