While Congress is in recess, this is the perfect time to send your Members letters letting them know where you stand on certain issues! Many Members are busy working in their home states, and these letters will be waiting for them when they return to Washington!
There are several funding related issues where your outreach can make a difference!
Please send the three letters below to your Members of Congress!
1. Please consider writing your Members of Congress in support of $5 million in funding (the amount in the Senate bill) for the National Priorities Water Research Grant Program! You can send a letter by clicking here on the Water Advocates website!! The House bill includes $4.1 million in funding (level funding), while the Senate offers a slight increase to $5 million. While we would love even more, every bit helps!
2. Please write your Members of Congress to request the necessary funding for Clean Water and Drinking Water SRFs (double the funding!), WIFIA, and other infrastructure related programs. You can send a letter directly to your Members by clicking here.
