    Costa Rica Circular Water Economy Study Tour

    From January 25–31, 2026, Global Water Stewardship (GWS), a WEF Charity of Choice, will lead a Students & Young Professionals Community (SYPC) delegation on an immersive study tour across Costa Rica to explore the country’s circular water economy. Through curated site visits, expert briefings, and peer-to-peer exchange, participants will experience Costa Rica’s Reduce–Recover–Regenerate approach in action, spanning advanced wastewater treatment and reuse, resource recovery, and nature-based solutions that restore watersheds and strengthen resilience.

    Japan Circular Water Economy Study Tour

    The Water Environment Federation (WEF), in partnership with the Japan Sewage Works Association (JSWA), hosted a weeklong Circular Water Economy Study Tour across Japan from August 24–30, 2025. This immersive experience brought together water sector leaders, engineers, and innovators to explore Japan’s cutting-edge approaches to wastewater treatment, resource recovery, and circular economy solutions.

    Brazil Circular Water Economy Study Tour

    The Water Environment Federation (WEF) partnered with SABESP, São Paulo’s water and sanitation company, to host a five-day Operator Exchange Study Tour in Brazil from August 25–29, 2025. This program brought together water sector professionals from the US and Brazil to share expertise, strengthen workforce development, and explore circular water economy solutions in one of the world’s largest metropolitan regions.

    Denmark Circular Water Economy Study Tour

    From June 15–21, 2025, the Center for Sustainable Infrastructure (CSI) led a US delegation on an immersive study tour across Denmark, exploring the nation’s innovative approach to industrial wastewater management and resource efficiency. Hosted in partnership with State of Green, the program brought together US and Danish experts, utilities, and technology providers to exchange best practices and foster international collaboration.
