This webcast will feature speakers with experience operating advanced water purification facilities (AWPFs) in potable reuse applications. The webcast will describe the important aspects of operating an AWPF and how this differs from other types of water and wastewater treatment facilities. The speakers will share about the drivers that led to the implementation of potable reuse and will describe their potable reuse systems. The speakers will discuss their experiences operating those systems and the key lessons that they have learned that will help others consider ways to optimize their own facilities or help agencies with planning new potable reuse programs. Since the speakers are from different states, they will talk about the regulatory expectations regarding AWPF operations so attendees can understand how these can differ across the country. The speakers will also discuss how the operations of direct potable reuse differs from indirect potable reuse and how to plan accordingly.
