Technical Practice Community

More than 600 WEF members serve as authors and reviewers on Technical Practice Community (TPC) Task Forces, developing Manuals of Practice and other technical publications on industrial and hazardous wastes, municipal topics, residuals, and water quality and ecology topics.

The TPC disseminates the state of practice to WEF members and the water-quality community. The TPC shares this information through the following efforts:

  • The development and publication of technical manuals of practice, special publications, and other technical documents.
  • Joint participation with other Federation committees in issues concerning technical practice and
  • The review of documents and publications that relate to matters of technical practice for the purpose of advising the WEF Board of Trustees, House of Delegates, and other Federation committees.
