Supporting clean water and the protection of human health, WEF is a nonprofit association that provides technical education and training for thousands of water quality professionals who clean water and return it safely to the environment.

WEF members have proudly protected public health, served their local communities and supported clean water worldwide since 1928. There are many ways to contribute to WEF, as well as opportunities for engagement. The following are a means of supporting WEF financially. #Donate2WEF

WEF and its global network of members and Member Associations (MAs) provide water quality professionals around the world with the latest in water quality education, networking, training, and business opportunities.

The Stockholm Junior Water Prize

The SJWP is a prestigious international competition for students to present solutions for water challenges and is presented annually to a high school student for a water-research project. WEF has coordinated the U.S. competition since its inception in 1997, and partners closely with its Member Associations to administer the program.

The InFLOW Scholarship Program

Introducing Future Leaders to Opportunities in Water (InFLOW) is a program to enhance diversity and inclusion in the water workforce. This scholarship opportunity engages up to 55 participants annually in WEF programs and events to solidify their interest in working in the water sector; and increase probabilities for employment and long-term success working in water. Sponsorships also are available.

WEF Community Service Project at WEFTEC

Each year, a Community Service Project is done in conjunction with the Water Environment Federation’s (WEF’s) annual conference, WEFTEC. In 2022, the Community Service project will be on Oct. 8 at St. Augustine High School in New Orleans. The objectives of the annual service projects are to give back, solve community water-related issues and raise awareness about the value of water. WEF invites you to make a difference in the WEFTEC host city by giving a direct donation to the 2022 WEF Community Service Project.
