I'm requesting information from anyone that is using magnesium hydroxide for alkalinity control.  Including what you like or don't like about it!  Thanks.  Dickie Vinent

We switched from sodium hydroxide (50%) to magnesium hydroxide for alkalinity/pH control in 1996. The application was for an industrial anaerobic treatment plant. Mag is definitely more operator friendly. The point of mixing Mag w/wastewater is critical to prevent mag solids from settling out. If you would like good technical help contact dstarmand@comcast.net

I would like the addresses of training institutes or centers who offers operation and or maintenance and laboratory training for waste water operation and maintenance personnel. institutes who offers courses at their centers or customize courses for overseas. It is preferable if the certification is offered with the courses

We use Mag for Ph/alk adjustment.  It works pretty well for us.  We typically like to run a PH of 6.7-7.0 and alkalinity of 70-90.  works well for alk but not great for PH adjustment.
