Have attempted various means to sense water level in a channel upstream of a domestic wastewater coarse bar screen, with the purpose of generating an alarm at high level, however all have fouled or ragged quickly.
PM to clean the sensor is doable, of course, but I'm searching for a better approach. What method have you used that is reliable and involves very minimal maintenance? Any recommendations would be appreciated, especially the lower priced options.

Try Milltronics unit using transducer.

How about an ultrasonic sensor, or a bubbler system?
