Influent Composite sample, how representative?
I'm wondering how to make the Influent Composite sample more representative of what's really coming into the WWTP. One question is how many samples to set the Isco sampler to take. It's been set in the past to take from 24 to 50 samples, 4 to 16 pulses, 75 to 150 mls. Depending on flow, it takes about 24 hours to complete its cycle. Wondering about going to higher number of samples, less volume. Thoughts?
Also, for BOD testing, do any of you use a blender on the influent sample and have you found much difference in the results vs. unblended? Thanx
