2015 U.S. National Competition

Welcome to Herndon, Virginia/uploadedImages/Public_Information/Students_and_Teachers/Stockholm_Junior_Water_Prize/Full Group with Coaches - small website.jpg, site of the 2015 U.S. National Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) competition.  As the third largest Town in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and located less than 25 miles outside of the nation’s capital, Herndon is an ideal location for some of the brightest young scientists in the nation to meet for this exciting event!

The 2015 national competition is open to SJWP state winners only and will take place on June 19-20 at the Hilton Dulles Airport Hotel.  Hosted by the Water Environment Federation (WEF), with support from Xylem Inc., and local WEF Member Associations, this year’s competition schedule will feature two days of educational and entertaining events, where students will have the opportunity to mingle with other like-minded students and water quality professionals.

Parents and Guests:

While we know that parents and guests are excited for their student(s) and may plan on accompanying them to Virginia, it is important to know that only students will be allowed to attend the scheduled events, with the exception of the exhibition and judging which is open to the public; however, tickets may be purchased for the awards ceremony dinner.  Information regarding the dinner can be found in the information packet that will be sent to all state winners in early May. Simply complete the guest registration form and submit your payment to the address provided.  While the students are busy during the day, parents and guests may want to fill their time exploring all of the things to do in the Washington Metropolitan Area!

Competition is open to State winners only.
