WEF Launches New, Improved Web Discussion Forums

Water Environment Federation Launches New, Improved Web Discussion Forums

Alexandria, Va. - The Water Environment Federation (WEF) announces the launch of new and improved web discussion forums on its Web site, www.wef.org. First launched in 2005, WEF revised the forums to enhance usability and encourage greater forum activity. Notable changes include a revision of format categories and the creation of a fully searchable archive.

Open to anyone, the forums provide access to an online community of water professionals and promote networking and knowledge exchange within common fields of expertise. Anyone can view and search the forums without signing in, but users must create a free account to add a post or create a new topic for discussion. Current topics include:

- Biological Nutrient Removal
- Biosolids & Residuals
- Collection Systems
- Industrial Wastes Treatment
- Laboratory Management & Technical Issues
- Operation & Maintenance
- Utility Management
- Water and Wastewater Infrastructure
 

Fully-searchable, archived topics include:

- Academic and Student
- Foros de Discusión Técnica (Technical Discussion Group in Spanish
- Air Quality
- Disinfection
- Safety & Health
- Small Systems
- Microconstituents (may also be known as CPCs or EDCs)
