 WEA of Ontario

The Water Environment Association of Ontario is pleased to announce the appointment of Lyle Shipley as the Association's new Executive Director.  Lyle's work in the private sector as the Principal of a business strategy and sustainability consulting firm adds another layer to his extensive experience in acquiring and engaging members and volunteers to achieve success within the non-profit association sector.  Lyle is a graduate of the University of Toronto and has an MBA from Ryerson University.

WEFMAX is unlike any other meeting providing the members of the House of Delegates, MA Leaders, and WEF Staff an opportunity to meet, discuss challenges, and share successes.

At this meeting, meet WEF Vice President Paul Bowen, WEF House of Delegates Speaker Janet Hurley Cann, WEF Director of Membership & Customer Relations Wade Riess, and the Michigan WEA (MWEA) Board Members:  President, Christine Kosmowski, President-Elect Tim Sikma, Vice President Brian Hannon, Secretary Todd Wibright, Executive Director, Jerry Harte, Association Director Karlyn Wickham, WEF Delegates Robert Scheuerman and John Rafter.  Please take a moment to get to know your WEF Leadership and the Michigan WEA Leadership prior to attending.

MWEA has blocked a limited number of hotel rooms at The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel with a special rate per night of $129.00 single/double occupancy plus city, state, and hotel tax currently at 15%.  This rate is only available until 5:00 pm local time on Monday, March 31, 2014.  Attendees are responsibile for making their own reservations by contacting the hotel directly.  When making a reservation, please advise the hotel you are booking under the "Michigan WEA" group.

All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card.  In order to avoid a cancellation fee of 1 night room and tac for an individual reservation, the hotel must receive notification of cancellation no later than 5 pm, two days before arrival date (48 hours in davance) of the reservation.  Credit identification will be required from each individual at check-in, in order that these charges may be billed to the individual's account.  Based on availability, the special room rate will be offered to those staying 3 days prior to and 3 days after the meeting.  There will be a $50 early departure fee assessed upon check-out to all early departed reservations.  Check-In time is 4:00 pm | Check-Out time is 12:00 pm.
