Housed in the historic Carbide & Carbon skyscraper, the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago provides the perfect backdrop for loving large. Enjoy a modern, urban vibe with signature rock swagger and a prime location in the heart of Chicago, Illinois.

Our meeting hotel is noted as a great example no only of the art deco movement, but what happens when audacious architecture goes right.  This historic tower doesn't just follow the traditional skyscraper form of the day -- it take chances that few others did.  The most obvious departure from the norm is its green color.  When it was built, the tinted terra cotta and black granite facade made it stand out among the sandstone-colored towers it was competing with.  Now generations later, the unusual color helps it stand out among its glass and steel peers.  The second audacious move was such extensive use of gold leaf to highlight the building features.  It's not just on the edges of the building -- it virtually coats the spire, and drapes itself across the shoulders and setbacks of the upper levels.  But the glitter is not reserved for those in the stratosphere -- the gold accents continue all the way down to the street level.  This is a building that simply refuses to be ignored.  All that glitz isn't an accident.  There is an urban legend which states that the shape and color of the building were inspired by a champagne bottle.  It's not hard to imagine it as a green curvy bottle with bubbly foaming from the top and dripping down the sides.

Credit Authorization:  At check-in you'll need to provide a major credit card in your name.  The hotel will authorize the estimated charges for room, tax and incidentals for our entire stay, which will place a hold on these funds.  When you depart, the authorization is replaced with actual charges.  While the hotel also accepts debit cards, it is important you understand that a debit card authorization in the amount of $50 for each night of your stay will remain on the account for 5 - 7 days after departure.

Guarantee/Deposit:  All reservations must be guaranteed by a valid credit card.  Some rates and/or dates may require an advance deposit, taxes and possible more.  If you must cancel, please do so within the cancellation policy noted in your confirmation email to receive a full refund; the hotel will retain your full deposit if you must cancel after the cancellation deadline.

Cancellation:  Any guest who need to cancel or change their arrival date must inform the hotel by 3:00 pm CST 24 hours to the arrival date to avoid a one night's room and tax charge.
