AI-Enabled Circular Water Economy South Korea Study Tour
23 – 28 August, 2026
The Water Environment Federation (WEF), in partnership with Korea Water Partnership (KWP), a long-standing WEF partner, has co-organized a six-day Circular Water Economy Study Tour to South Korea (August 23โ29, 2026), bringing together six WEF members to explore the countryโs leadership in AI-enabled water management, digital innovation, and circular water solutions. The program provides firsthand exposure to AI-enabled water treatment, digital twins, industrial water reuse, smart city development, environmental restoration, and opportunities for knowledge exchange with leading utilities and technology organizations.

UMC Circular Water Economy Study Tours โ ReWa & Charlotte Water

On March 23 and 27, 2026, Circular Water Economy study tours to ReWa and Charlotte Water were facilitated during the Utility Management Conference, offering a highly engaging and impactful experience for 12 participants from wastewater utilities, industry, and research organizations. The tours created valuable opportunities to connect directly with utility leaders, gain practical insights, and observe real-world applications of circular water initiatives in action.

Costa Rica Circular Water Economy Study Tour

Japan Circular Water Economy Study Tour

The Water Environment Federation (WEF), in partnership with the Japan Sewage Works Association (JSWA), hosted a weeklong Circular Water Economy Study Tour across Japan from August 24โ30, 2025. This immersive experience brought together water sector leaders, engineers, and innovators to explore Japanโs cutting-edge approaches to wastewater treatment, resource recovery, and circular economy solutions

Brazil Study Tour: Operator Exchange
25 – 29 August, 2025
The Water Environment Federation (WEF) partnered with SABESP, Sรฃo Pauloโs water and sanitation company, to host a five-day Operator Exchange Study Tour in Brazil from August 25โ29, 2025. This program brought together water sector professionals from the US and Brazil to share expertise, strengthen workforce development, and explore circular water economy solutions in one of the worldโs largest metropolitan regions.

Denmark Circular Water Economy Study Tour
15 – 21 June, 2025
From June 15โ21, 2025, the Center for Sustainable Infrastructure (CSI) led a US delegation on an immersive study tour across Denmark, exploring the nationโs innovative approach to industrial wastewater management and resource efficiency. Hosted in partnership with State of Green, the program brought together US and Danish experts, utilities, and technology providers to exchange best practices and foster international collaboration.
