WEF/AWWA Utility Management Conference

Water Week and the National Water Fly-in

Each year, Water Week brings together water professionals from across the nation to advance key water policy priorities, including sustained federal investment in water infrastructure, water affordability, research and development, PFAS policy, and infrastructure resilience. Through meetings with policymakers and advocacy events on Capitol Hill, participants gain insight into emerging policy and regulatory issues while championing safe, affordable, and reliable water services alongside their peers. Water Week and the National Water Fly-In are co-hosted by WEF, NACWA, WateReuse Association, The Water Research Foundation, and AMWA. 

Residuals, Biosolids & Treatment Technology Conference (RBTT) 

Milwaukee, Wisconsin 
April 27–30, 2027 

The Residuals, Biosolids & Treatment Technology Conference (RBTT) brings together utility professionals, engineers, consultants, researchers, and technology providers to advance the Circular Water Economy. Attendees explore the latest advances in biosolids management, resource recovery, and innovative treatment technologies. Collection Systems & Stormwater Conference 

Indianapolis, IN  

May 19-21, 2027  

The Collection Systems & Stormwater Conference brings together the professionals responsible for keeping water moving safely and sustainably through our communities. From collection system operators and engineers to stormwater managers, regulators, and solution providers, attendees come together to share lessons learned, address industry challenges and workforce issues, and explore practical solutions for wet weather management, aging infrastructure, climate resilience, asset management, utility operations, and emerging technologies. Through technical education, peer-to-peer collaboration, and discussions focused on real-world applications, participants gain insights to improve operational performance and strengthen system resilience.

WEFTEC 2027

WEFTEC 2027 marks a historic milestone as the Water Environment Federation celebrates its 100th anniversary. As WEF’s premier event and the largest annual water quality exhibition and conference in North America, WEFTEC 2027 promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration paired with the top-tier programming that has helped the event be on the cutting-edge of water sector innovation. Water professionals from around the globe will come together to celebrate a century of progress in protecting public health and the environment while looking ahead to the innovations, partnerships, and leadership that will shape the next 100 years of water. 

In 2027, the WEFTEC experience expands beyond the conference floor with special events and milestone celebrations that bring the water community together: 

  • Jammin’4Water (J4W) will help kick off the celebratory spirit on Saturday evening, September 25, 2027. What began as a spontaneous jam session among WEFTEC attendees has evolved into a beloved tradition that combines music, networking, and a commitment to improving global water quality. Since its inception, J4W has raised more than $700,000 for global water charities, including the WEFTEC Student and Young Professionals Service Project. 
  • WEF Centennial Gala will take place on Sunday evening, Sept 26, 2027, celebrating WEF’s 100-year legacy with a high-energy event that brings the community together to reflect on a century of impact and look ahead to the opportunities and challenges that will shape the future of water. 
  • Operations Challenge 40th Anniversary.  WEF will honor four decades of showcasing the expertise, teamwork, and dedication of the water professionals who protect public health, support resilient communities, and keep essential water services running every day. 

Industrial Water Solutions (IWS) 

Tucson, AZ 

November 15 –17, 2027 

Industrial Water Solutions (IWS), co-hosted by the WateReuse Association and the Water Environment Federation, brings together business leaders, utilities, regulators, engineers, and water professionals to address the evolving water challenges facing industrial sectors. Focused on building partnerships between utilities and industry for Circular Water Economy solutions, the event explores strategies to recycle water, recover resources, minimize waste, improve water resilience, and unlock new value from water across the industrial lifecycle. Through collaboration, networking, and the exchange of innovative solutions, attendees gain insights into how water stewardship can support sustainable growth, economic development, and community resilience. 

WEFMAX 

WEFMAX brings together leaders from across the global federation. WEF’s Member Associations gather at WEFMAX to exchange ideas, share successful practices, strengthen volunteer leadership, and advance the collective impact of the federation. As the primary gathering for WEF’s Member Association community, WEFMAX creates opportunities for peer learning, collaboration, and innovation that help local water communities thrive.
