Eligibility for Program Requires you to Meet the Following:
- Enrolled as aโฏfull-time undergraduate in your 3rd or 4th year in college or enrolled as a college-graduate in a Master’s-level or PhD program in year 1 or 2 in Fall 2026.
- Majoring in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) related field. Note: Majoring in engineering is not required.
- Must be a student and entering or early in your professional career:
- 18 years of age or older when the InFLOW program starts
- If currently employed, no more than two years of full-time employmentโฏin the water industry
- Must bring a diverse perspective and unique background to the program and the water industry (per your response within the InFLOW Application Form)
- Experience in work or academic courses related to the water industry is not required; however, interest in the industry or related fields is encouraged
- Professor Sponsor
- Be your University advocate and assist in communicating with other professors about potentially missing class/asking for extensions on assignments due to conference travel
- Review student applications from their university by March 24th
- Attend a virtual orientation with other professor sponsors to learn more about the program
- Optional-WEFTEC registration cost can be provided by WEF.
Responsibilities
- Required to participate in online activities in August and September 2026
- Required to attend WEFTEC 2026 in New Orleans, Louisiana, from September 26-30, 2026, and fully participate in all scheduled activities
- Willing to fully participate with WEF Staff, Sponsors, & Members before and after WEFTEC 2026
- Responsibly represent their School/University during WEF InFLOW events and while in New Orleans
- Follow Louisiana State and Federal Laws, including not consuming alcohol if under 21
