Public Officials Award

The Public Officials Award is presented to an elected or appointed public official that has made a documented, significant contribution in the areas of clean water legislation, public policy, government service, or another area of public prominence that resulted in improvements to the water environment. The award can be presented for public service at the local, state, provincial or national level.

Criteria:

i. Nominees must be in an elected or appointed office, and do not need to be a member of WEF.
ii. Significant contribution that resulted in improvements to the water environment.

Submit:

Online Nomination Form
One-page biography of the nominee
Listing of specific reasons for the nomination (two pages maximum) that relates to the nominee’s work in improving the water environment, and any other supporting material that relates to the award criteria.

Nominations Deadline:

Application will be available annually on January 15 and close annually on March 31 at 11:59PM (Eastern).
