The Springboard Program was developed to further increase opportunities for Students and Young Professionals Community members to become involved in WEF, with particular emphasis on the integration of YPs into the WEFTEC Program Community at the WEF Winter Meeting. This event primarily provides an opportunity for key volunteer communities to meet face-to-face and develop programming for WEFTEC.
The WEF YP Springboard Program provides travel expense assistance for the selected YPs to attend the Winter Meeting.

Applications
The application period for the 2025 program will open on October 31, 2025 and close on November 21, 2025 at 11:59pm (EST). Program participants will be notified by December 19 2025.
Participation in the Springboard Program does not cover expenses for travel to WEFTEC; however, participant involvement in the Program Community can help justify attendance to your employer.
The WEF Springboard Program is designed to provide YPs an opportunity to learn about the inner workings of the WEF organization by:
- Seeing and contributing to how the WEFTEC program is put together at the Program Community Meeting;
- Participating at the Community Leadership Council (CLC) meeting, which is a meeting of all the Chairs of the WEF technical and non-technical communities;
- Networking with WEF Leaders, such as the Board of Trustees and CLC/Program Community members;
- Developing long-lasting relationships with other YPs within their cohort–to build their WEF “squad” for the future. The goal of this program is for members to gain an understanding of how to become a leader within WEF and to see where they fit in the future of this organization.
The 2026 WEF Winter Meeting and Springboard Program will take place at the Hyatt Regency Dulles in Herndon, VA from March 2-4, 2026.
