We may not be able to interact face-to-face this year, but that’s not stopping us from bringing you the next best thing. WEFTEC Connect is jam-packed with opportunities each day to engage and network with colleagues, attendees, exhibitors, and friends.

Check out the many ways you can connect with others in the world of water during the WEFTEC experience we’re recreating just for you.

1. AI-enabled Matchmaking
Artificial intelligence takes the data you select when setting up your profile and suggests matches for you of attendees and exhibitors that have similar water sector interests. The AI gets smarter and smarter as you attend sessions, visit exhibitors, and make connections throughout the week, refining your matches along the way—kind of like an invisible matchmaker. Our networking tools also allow you to search all attendees and exhibitors and make matches. Once you make connections with individuals or company representatives, you can simply text chat with them or set-up 1:1 video meetings.

2. Virtual Meeting Rooms that YOU Can Create
WEFTEC Connect allows you to schedule meetings with other attendees or exhibitors, or you can spontaneously start pop-up or casual networking meetings with anyone you choose. All you have to do is start your meeting and send out the link, whether it be by email, chat or on social media. In our virtual meeting rooms, you have the tools to see one another on screen, share your screen, text chat within the video, and invite additional meeting participants.

3. Connect 1-on-1 with Exhibitors
Exhibitor profiles include a list of exhibitor representatives, along with tools to schedule 1:1 meetings with them. Directly on the profile page, you will see the dates and times that each representative is available to join you in a cloud-based meeting room, right on the WEFTEC Connect site. Exhibitor product launches and demonstrations are scheduled all week, and you will have the opportunity to directly participate in text Q&A with representatives from that company.

4. WEF Chats
Interactive and live, on-camera discussions allow you to join and engage with experts and other attendees on topics most important to today’s water professionals, such as innovation, affordability, and diversity.

5. Knowledge Development Forums
Exclusive to WEFTEC, these interactive and live, on-camera discussions are designed to draw lively dialogue and debate around emerging topics like infectious disease, digital twins, and leadership, aimed at moving these topics forward in the sector.

6. Focus Area Chats
More than 20 topic-based text chat channels will remain open for the whole week allowing you to foster casual networking and talks around various topics important to the water sector. You can join a text chat at any time and see the conversation history.

*BONUS* One of everyone’s favorite aspects of WEFTEC is socializing, and we’ve created a number of events to have fun this year. Monday you can watch the Brave Blue World documentary with your family and friends, followed by a live filmmakers’ panel discussion with Q&A. Join us for trivia night on Tuesday and answer general knowledge questions from our engaging host. On Wednesday celebrate and congratulate the 2020 WEF Award recipients and Fellows on their accomplishments at a ceremony and gather with fellow attendees at the Wednesday Happy Hour. Thursday come make some virtual noise for the achievements of our water heroes who competed all week in the Operations Challenge competition. Then wrap up WEFTEC Connect on Friday in true New Orleans style with good friends and good music from the Grammy Award-winning Rebirth Brass Band.

The world of water is gathering at WEFTEC Connect, and you won’t want to miss it! Register today!
