BIGGER, BOLDER, BETTER

This morning at the Opening General Session, the Water Envi¬ronment Federation (WEF) offi-cially will relaunch Water’s Worth It®. This popular member-driven public awareness campaign has been updated to sport a clean, modern look and all new resources.

As the site of the original campaign launch in 2012, and as a nod to its unique relationship with water, New Orleans is the ideal place to mark the return of this much loved program. The Opening General Session will include the debut of a Water’s Worth It public service announcement video to mark the relaunch.

“Raising awareness about the value and importance of water remains a top priority for us and for our members, said 2017-18 WEF President Jenny Hartfelder. “We have the opportunity, and the responsibility, to speak out and use our collective knowledge and passion for water to educate the public about what we do every day. …That’s where Water’s Worth It comes in.”

MAINTAINING STRONG PARTNERSHIPS
Although the campaign has remained accessible, it has not been updated, expanded, or promoted in recent years because of WEF’s commitment as a founding partner to the national Value of Water Campaign (VOW). WEF remains an active VOW partner.

The unifying value of Water’s Worth It and the unprecedented support of members and WEF Member Associations for it drove the decision to recommit and relaunch the campaign. Its flexible structure and broad-based messages enable it to stand alone or support other programs and campaigns.

NEW WEBSITE FOR USERS
Leading up to the relaunch, WEF took great care to update the look and expand the messaging platform. The redesigned campaign website, w ww.WatersWorthIt.org, is packed with high-impact resources that will help WEF members and water professionals be more effective water communicators.

The website also will lead to a new storefront. Still in development, this storefront will be a one-stop shop for ordering, customizing, and printing Water’s Worth It merchandise and materials as well as a growing list of WEF products. WEF will use member input to help build out the storefront and choose which product lines to expand. The storefront is expected to launch in early 2019.
