The Eddy Medal honors Harrison Prescott Eddy, a prominent engineer and a pioneer in the field of wastewater treatment. The medal is awarded for research that makes a vital contribution to the existing knowledge of the fundamental principles or process of wastewater treatment, as comprehensively described and published in a federation periodical.

Eligibility:

  • Articles published in a Federation periodical during any stated calendar year are eligible for nomination.
  • Nominations of articles published in WEF national conference proceedings.
  • Published articles in Member Association publications are eligible for consideration but must be nominated by either the Member Association or by a WEF member. The principal author and majority of the co-authors (if there be any) must be WEF member(s).

  • Specific reasons for nomination (one page maximum)
  • Any other supporting material required under criteria or that you feel would be helpful in the selection process.

Nominations Accepted From:

The Eddy Wastewater Principles/Processes Medal is presented annually. All articles published in a Federation periodical during any stated calendar year are eligible for nomination.
