April 26th, 2018 - On Thursday, EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt testified before the House Energy and Commerce’s Environment Subcommittee, as well as the House Appropriations Committee Subcommittee on the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies. The hearings were meant to focus on the FY 2019 EPA Budget -- and both of Pruitt’s opening statements were about the budget. However, lawmakers on both sides of the aisle also asked him multiple questions about ethics issues during both hearings.

However, many felt that Pruitt made it through the hearings on a day when VA Nominee Ronny Jackson’s withdrawal was the main focus of the news.
