Overview
The total Indian water market exceeds $8 billion, and is continuing to grow at a rate of 10–12% every year. Water and wastewatertreatment are top priority concerns of the government when dealing with environmental pollution. Large water companies from all over the world haveestablished a presence in India to pursue an estimated 70 projects worth several million dollars in 20 Indian cities spread over several states. U.S.companies can offer planning and administration of water supply projects with state-level local urban bodies, as well as management of water supplydistribution systems. Water Today’s Water Expo 2012 is Southeast Asia’s largestwater event and an access point to the Indian market.
