| We are looking for successful examples of public education programs focused on reducing rags and other trash from entering our conveyance system. Does anyone know of sample outreach materials (PSAs, videos, print materials) focused on keeping trash out of wastewater? We are finding too many industrial-strength cleaning rags, plastic bags, etc. that are clogging up our conveyance pumps. We are aware of the option of using chopper pumps, muffin monsters and the like; we are focusing on public education source reduction. Thanks for any leads, Johnny Leuthold SW Washington |

| | When I was working on the Islands, I held a class on WW treatment and on one occasion I held up a red rag and adamently stated that rags should not be put down the sewers because of the usual reasons. After that the rag population didn't seem to be reduced any, except that we never saw another RED rag. |
