| | I would like to know information about how to treat a wastewater discharge from an autopsy room. The flow is about 1,500 gals/day. We are looking for a zero discharge equipment or treatment. Thank you. |

| | I think a small activated sludge "package plant" might serve your needs. This is not really the kind of waste treatment I know about, so I can't supply any more details. Also, though it sounds pretty gruesome, you might look into what slaughterhouses do with their waste.

| Are you located within a utility service area? Generally, blood and body fluids which enter a sewage collection system lose their identity as they mix with regular sewage. You might need a screening device to capture larger solids.

| It has been proven that blood is a great source of nutrients for anaerobic biology, check for any anaerobic digester in your area.

| | Best solution would be Anearobic Digester- Most of the slaughter houses have implemented AnD. However they have huge volumes of Effluent. 1500GPD is very little and you amy need abot 5to 6 m3 Digeter with proper pretreament. Please vist a slaughter house treatment plant to get abetter Idea. Hope ths help you regards, MW9
