The cheapest option is what they call a Medicare Supplement (no prescription/vision coverage, dental coverage separate).

In today's world, get sick and get your "preventive maintenance" work done before you retire.

Chuck Lytle

RE: Medical Benefits for Laboratory Personnel

Rob:

I thought that Washington State and Oregon were a bit more radically to the left with all those tree huggers you got than the Republic of California. I missed getting 100% medical benefits by about 7 years because the old geezers at this place sold out the young ones when they signed their MOU years back.

RE: Medical Benefits for Laboratory Personnel

32 1/2 years here and ZERO medical when I retire. What socialist country are you in? I can continue our group medical plan if I pay them monthly. Miss one payment and you are out. They don't like it because the geezers raise the average age and claims and increase the premiums.

Medical Benefits for Laboratory Personnel

I am curious as to what your medical benefits are where you work when you retire. For me, it would be 50% when I retire at 55 and have worked at least 20 years. Anyone out there getting 100% medical benefits when you retire?
