Microconstituents are natural and manmade substances, including elements and both inorganic and organic chemicals, detected within water and the environment for which a prudent course of action is suggested for the continued assessment of the potential impact on human health and the environment.  Topic includes: Public communication and technical issues, sources and routes of contamination, effect of water and wastewater treatment on microconstituents, microconstituent source reduction, analytical methods, regulations and research, and dealing with uncertainity related to microconstituents.
