We have been batteling some issues with our Stranco 960 for some time. Dechlorination has been iffy at best and charting the patterns of either the MCO and/or MV value are all over the place typically. Like many we run a 3 channel system and use #1 for Chlor, #2 for read only and #3 for Dechlor contol, reads on #2 are typically very close to the ORP value of #1 which is Chlorine. Here is a question I dont understand: Today we saw Ch #1 @ 400 mv which is fine, Channel #2 @ 390 which is fine also, Channel #3 set point is 150, Mv value goes down to 60, shuts off the pump, we take a residual and have near 5 MGL which is our CL2 dose moreless and should be 0 in light of the MV value showing 60. We swap the #2 channel and #3 channel probe tips and the dechlor channel comes right around to an actual 360 MV and starts to control the Dechlor pump ramping it up like it should be and the other tip now reads 60 MV in water that was just read at 390 MV and stays there for hours until it finally creeps up the anticipated 390. Inital thoughts were the probe is bad, mind you this is the 3rd time its been replaced in a month due to similar problems that keep comming back. I realize there is some "burn time" required but this is way out of range.
Any thoughts on this?
