Gary Erickson joined Atkins (Tampa, Fla.) as president of its Water & Environment group business. Prior to joining Atkins, Erickson filled civil engineering leadership roles in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and was director of the U.S. Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence.


Esmeralda Bonilla has been named Latin America business development manager for AdEdge Water Technologies LLC. (Buford, Ga.). She will be responsible for developing new business opportunities for the company’s water treatment systems in the Central and South American markets.


Dimitrios Katehis joined Greeley and Hansen (Chicago) as national director of process engineering. He will direct the company’s services related to process engineering for water and wastewater treatment.


PPG Industries (Pittsburgh) formed a distribution partnership with Jet Inc. (Cleveland), a provider of onsite wastewater treatment systems, to make Jet Inc. a wholesale distributor for Accu-Tab® chlorine tablets.


The Trojan Technologies group of businesses (London, Ontario) acquired the business assets of OpenCEL (Glencoe, Ill.), an environmental biotechnology company that offers a proprietary technology to improve biosolids processing. The OpenCEL business will operate as a division of US Peroxide (Atlanta), a Trojan Technologies business.


Insituform Technologies Inc. (St. Louis) has completed an internal reorganization. A new Delaware parent holding company, Aegion Corp. (St. Louis), was created to provide corporate and administrative services for its operating subsidiaries — Insituform Technologies, The Bayou Cos. (New Iberia, La.), Corrpro Cos. (Houston), United Pipeline Systems (Durango, Colo.), CRTS (Tulsa, Okla.), Fibrwrap Construction Services (Ontario, Calif.), and Fyfe (San Diego). In the new structure, Aegion replaces Insituform as the public company, and Insituform and its former direct subsidiaries are now direct subsidiaries of Aegion.
