The Sage Prime™ is a industrial thermal mass flowmeter for gases. It features a bright high-contrast OLED display of flow rate and temperature. It also has a graphical indication of flow rate and displays the calibration milliwatts for ongoing diagnostics. It has a dual-sided compartment with a windowed explosion proof enclosure, and the rear compartment, which is separated from the electronics, has large, easy-to-access, well-marked terminals for ease of customer wiring. Sage Metering Inc. (Monterey, Calif.).

Data Acquisition

The new Data Acquisition Package provides real-time image and data capture directly to a personal computer. The video image, along with the temperature and pressure data, is displayed on the user’s computer monitor and may be archived directly to the hard drive. In addition, the current date and time are recorded, and the user has the ability to enter a short text comment. Supercritical Fluids Technologies (Newark, Del.).

Septic System Remediator
With minimal landscape disruption, the Aquaworx™ Remediator™ is inserted into an existing septic tank to reverse the biological clogging process that causes a tank failure. Once installed, it uses a fine-bubble air diffuser to introduce oxygen into the bacterial growth media column so the bacteria can begin to thrive and consume organic matter. The aerobic bacteria combine with the oxygen-rich effluent in the tank and then move to the drainfield to reduce the clogging layer and restore infiltration into the soil. Infiltrator Systems (Old Saybrook, Conn.).

Tank Light
The new Jacoby–Tarbox® Phaeton XTL tank lights provide bright, clean light for easy and safe viewing into any process vessel or storage tank. The new LED technology employed provides 33 times the brilliance of previous-generation LED lights, enough light to inspect inside even large tanks. The “view through” feature allows same-window viewing, eliminating the need for a second tank window by combining illumination and viewing in one. Clark-Reliance Corp. (Strongsville, Ohio).

Air Monitoring System
This versatile, open-path FTIR gas-analysis system is suitable for a variety of applications. The AM Air Monitoring System can detect, identify, and measure a wide range of compounds simultaneously, within seconds of startup. Analysis is performed onsite through a continuous sampling path of up to 1000 m. MIDAC (Costa Mesa, Calif.).

The new Series IT Industrial Thermometer is designed to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use, and to take accurate temperature measurements in the toughest environments. The case of the thermometer is constructed of die-cast aluminum for use in industrial environments. The glass lens is designed to be cleaned easily and resists scratches. Dwyer Instruments Inc. (Michigan City, Ind.).

Data Logger
The TR-73U Data Logger monitors temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. This compact, lightweight unit is approximately 2 in. by 3 in. and operates on one AA battery. It features a large, easy-to-read 4-digit display that shows all three channels. Front panel buttons control start, stop, and setting of parameters. The TR-73U can store up to 8000 readings in one-time or endless recording mode. The recorded data can be quickly downloaded. TandD Corp. (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.).
