Mininert® syringe valves have leak-tight 250-psi sample storage capability. The valves include push-button operation and have bodies of polytetrafluoroethene with a stainless steel stem. The valves are designed for lab glassware with syringe access to screw-cap and crimp-top vials, test tubes, flasks, and reaction chambers. The series PZ pulse-metering pumps are designed for accurate, reliable injection of various liquids, including chemicals, nutrients, and disinfectants. The pump flow rate and accuracy were designed to be unaffected by fluctuations in voltage and to operate under any single-phase voltage from 94 VAC to 264 VAC. The pumps are available in manual control, external input, and programmable models. Models PZD-32/52 and all PZiG models have built-in calibration and are designed to allow accurate direct entry of feed rate in mL/min. Pump Control System
The RPC-2000 pump control system provides consent security, intelligent flushing cycles, periodic efficiency testing, and asset data storage. It can be retrofitted to existing pumping stations and includes a preblockage detection function designed to combat solids buildup on the pump impeller with a self-cleaning sequence. The system’s periodic pump-efficiency testing monitors wear on pumps, alerting operators to maintenance issues. Retroflo (Washington, England).
The series PCWS pressure-regulating supply stick assembly incorporates the features of a pressure regulator, pressure gauge, and shutoff valve into one unit. The inherent pressure regulator can be set to supply downstream pressure from 5 to 125 psi. Each stick includes a pressure gauge or optional pressure and temperature gauge. Stick body materials are offered in Geon polyvinyl chloride or Corzan chlorinated polyvinylchloride with ethylene propylene diene monomer or fluoroelastomer (Viton) seals. Plast-O-Matic Valves Inc. The HT turbine agitator is designed to offer quiet operation with minimal maintenance in harsh, demanding operating environments. It is available with output speeds from 5 to 350 rpm and 13 standard drive sizes from 1 to 1000 hp. The agitator also features a compact, right-angle gear drive; a variety of mountings, shaft seals, and impellers; and tapered roller bearings service-rated for more than 100,000 hours of L-10 life. The EP-1300 series is designed for agitating, oxygenating, and cleaning pump stations without using external power or potable water. The system is designed as a solution for eliminating fats, oils, grease, and biofilms, plus hydrogen sulfide. The “oil detective” sump systems are designed to detect and alert to the presence of oil in various applications. The system includes cast-iron or cast-iron and stainless steel pump, pump controller, audible alarms, visual display lights, and switch cord. The pump can handle flows up to 65 gal/min. The Rugged Dissolved Oxygen (RDO®) PRO features an abrasion-resistant foil designed to withstand fouling, high sediment loads, and rapid flow rates. The sensor cap is preloaded with calibration coefficients to speed setup and eliminate programming errors. The system is designed to eliminate the need for external transmitters or controllers and operates on an 8–36-VDC input or 4–20-mA three-wire current loop. In-Situ Inc. (Fort Collins, Colo.).
MEGA-FLO® filtration systems are designed for flow rates of 8500 to 21,000 gal/h. Offered in polyvinylchloride or polyparaphenylene, the systems are available with a single or double mechanical seal pump or with a magnetic coupled polypropylene pump. SERFILCO (Northbrook, Ill.).
The hydraulic calibration hand pump features an adjustable stroke control. The pump allows pressure generation up to 10,000 psi. The pump includes a triple filtration system and an oversized check valve. Dwyer Instruments Inc. (Michigan City, Ind.).
