head loss at air diffused system

 I´d like help in order to measure at the field the Dynamic Wet Pressure, the pressure differencial (headloss) across the diffusion element _ membrane tube diffuser.

I need to measure the headloos at the same time, acroos the installed tube membrane and the new one tube membrane, both with the same size.
I will remove samples of the diffusers installed at the midlle of the laggon, and run the headloss test togheter with a new one membrane.
I will use a 1 meter surface water depth aquarium for the test.
What kind of aparatus I need to design to measur the actual head loss of the  diffuser?

You need a way to measure air flow and teh differential pressure. Dwyer has some inexpensive pitot tubes and differential pressure guages that shoud do the trick.

 

If you look in hte EPA fine pore aeration manual the procedure is described.
