Hello,
I am writing a news story for Lab Solutions on strategies that lab managers use to keep abbreviations/acronyms straight for their employees. There are so many that you all use every day that it may be difficult to keep them straight.
What do you do in your lab or your day-to-day job to make sure there is no confusion with such terms as "MDL," "LLD," "LFM," "IDL," etc.?
You may respond here or to my e-mail address at cvidito@wef.org.
Thanks!

Our NELAC approved SOPs refer employees to the main Lab SOP where the definitions are listed, and not just for acronyms, but also for Alternate Source Standard, etc.

Our Quality Manual has a Glossary that lists all our abbreviations.
