Hi,

I work in industrial pretreatment. We have a UASB anaerobic digestor as our primary treatment and an activated sludge system downstream as secondary polishing treatment. We are installing a DAF inbetween our equalization and acidification tanks for the purpose of solids removal prior to the UASB. We are having trouble planning and designing a dosing system without knowing much (anything) about polymer needs or the possible need for a coagulant. Anyone know any good resources for this?

Thanks a lot,

We dose our DAF's with a diaphram pump out of a holding tank. We use dry polymer, and mix it with a stranco unit. We use our polymer at a concentration of 0.2% but im sure it will be different in your application. Do lots of jar testing.
