I'm looking for some specific measurements / statics about how much energy pumps generate. Can anyone help?

I know that 20 percent of the world's energy is generated from pumps that heat, cool, and move water. I'm trying to understand what is the measurement (in units) of the total energy that this 20 percent comes from? What sort of units do I use to measure this?

Thanks for your help!
