WEF Accounces Residuals and Biosolids Management 2006: Bridging to the Future
March 12-15, 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio
Alexandria, VA – The Water Environment Federation (WEF) will present Residuals and Biosolids Management 2006: Bridging to the Future on March 12-15 at the Marriott Cincinnati at Rivercenter in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Held in partnership with the Ohio Water Environment Association (OHWEA), this conference will examine past, current and emerging technologies for residuals and biosolids management as well as the latest regulatory updates on environmental standards, management and application standards. Beginning Sunday, March 12, attendees can choose from a number of technical sessions, conference workshops, and technical tours on critical and noteworthy topics such as research and development programs; land application; odor control; nutrient management; and building public support and tackling politics.
The Opening General Session will take place Monday, March 13 and feature invited speakers: Dr. Cecil Lue-Hing, Past Director of Research and Development for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago; Gordon Garner, Past Executive Director, Louisville & Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District; Dr. Terry Logan, Professor Emeritus, The Ohio State University; and Sally Gutierrez, Director of U.S. EPA’s National Risk Management Research Laboratory. They are expected to discuss past, current and future biosolids issues. The conference will conclude with an interactive wrap-up session designed to provide a blueprint for a path-forward plan in residuals and biosolids management.
Encouraged to attend are design engineering and construction professionals, municipal wastewater and water treatment system managers, residuals and biosolids generators and appliers, pollution control equipment manufacturers, local, state, and federal regulatory agency personnel, designers and operators of solids treatment facilities, industrial water and wastewater treatment professionals, farmers and agriculturalists, landscapers, and organic and inorganic residuals managers.
