WATER ENVIRONMENT FEDERATION ANNOUNCES COLLECTION SYSTEMS 2005:
Sustaining Aging Infrastructure: System, Workforce and Funding 
 

     ALEXANDRIA, VA - The Water Environment Federation (WEF) announces Collection Systems 2005, the most comprehensive and up-to-date conference related to critical topics in collection systems and leading Collection Systems Exhibition in North America. Held in cooperation with the New England Water Environment Association, the event will take place July 17-20, 2005 at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

     The four-day conference will cover the current status of issues facing the operation and management of collection systems and wet weather facilities. Experts in the field will present the latest regulations, research, and developments during a comprehensive program comprised of one pre-conference workshop, twelve technical sessions, and two tours of local collection systems projects. Topics include: wet weather, odor management, asset management, treatment methods, operation & maintenance, sewer system design, and regulatory & environmental impacts.     

     Those encouraged to attend include design & engineer consultants, construction professionals, contract operation firm managers/owners, municipal water & wastewater treatment systems operators & managers, pipe, GIS & collection system equipment manufacturers & representatives, local, state & federal regulatory agency personnel, and students.
