(Alexandria, VA) - The Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA) will team up to present the WEF/AWWA Joint Management Conference at the Sheraton San Marcos in Phoenix, Arizona, March 14-17, 2004.
Today's utilities face many issues, including asset management, financing for infrastructure, technological advances, compliance and implementation of new regulations, higher public service demands, and reduction of staff and resources. Joint Management 2004, held in cooperation with the Arizona Water & Pollution Control Association, will offer practical, realistic solutions to these issues through workshops, presentations, and extensive technical sessions presented by experts in management techniques, strategies and solutions. Topics include: asset management, strategic planning, management issues for smaller utilities, and improving information technology, among others.
Encouraged to attend are water and wastewater utility managers, public works directors, district managers, water and wastewater treatment professionals, consultants, public officials, and regulatory board members.
