WEF COLLECTION SYSTEMS 2003 SPECIALTY CONFERENCE: cMOM GO!!
Online Registration Now Open for June 2003 Conference
(Alexandria, VA) - The Water Environment Federation (WEF) will present Collection Systems 2003 Specialty Conference: cMOM Go!!, June 1-4 2003 at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas. Online registration is now open and attendees are encouraged to take advantage of an extended advance deadline by registering on or before May 16.
Co-sponsored by the Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT) and chaired by Leigh Cerda (GSWW, Inc.) and John D'Antoni (Montgomery Watson Harza), the 4-day conference themed, "Current Trends in Collection Systems Management", will open with the Collection Systems Exhibition on Sunday, June 1. Manufacturers and representatives will be on-hand to show the latest technologies and practices in the field from June 1-3. According to Cerda, "with the workshop 'Private Property I/I Issues' on Sunday, the field site tour demonstrating flow meter technology, and the technical session 'Innovation on the Horizon-Collection System Research', the 2003 WEF Collection Systems Specialty Conference promises to provide attendees with the current and future trends in managing collection systems."
During the technical program, held throughout the 4-day conference, participants will be encouraged to design their own learning experience by choosing from 12 extensive technical sessions and 2 conference workshops led by experts in the field. The educational presentations will focus on critical and noteworthy topics, including: administration and management, financial planning, operations and maintenance, and engineering design and construction, among others. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore hands-on practices and techniques by selecting one of 2 facility tours.
Those encouraged to attend include: utility managers, wastewater collection systems managers and operators, engineering consultants, managers/owners of contract operation firms, state and federal regulators, equipment manufacturers, and students.
