(Alexandria, VA) - The Water Environment Federation (WEF) will hold its 9th Annual Industrial Wastes Technical and Regulatory Conference, April 13-16, 2003, at the Adam's Mark San Antonio Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. This popular conference and exhibition is a nationally and internationally recognized event that will focus on technical research, regulatory, and industrial environmental issues.

Co-chaired by Sam Shelby (Advent Group) and Andrew Edwards (ERM), the conference will be held in cooperation with the Water Environment Association of Texas, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Water Environment Research Foundation, Water Reuse Association, Industrial Wastewater Newsletter and Purdue University. Events will kick-off on Sunday, April 13 with a full day of interactive workshops, followed by two full days of technical, research, and regulatory sessions, networking receptions and exhibition. The total of 15 sessions will feature such topics as water reuse, conservation, and pollution prevention, biological and chemical/physical treatment, industrial stormwater issues, contaminated sediments, groundwater and hazardous wastes treatment, and regulatory, permitting, and legislative issues. A half-day of technical sessions will conclude the conference on Wednesday, April 16.
