Alexandria, Va. - The Water Environment Federation (WEF) will present Sustainability 2008: Green Practices for the Water Environment from June 22-25, 2008 at the Gaylord National on the Potomac in National Harbor, Maryland.
Held with support from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and in cooperation with the Sustainable Water Resources Roundtable (a subgroup of the Advisory Committee on Water Information), American Rivers, the Low Impact Development Center, the Water Environment Research Foundation, the Chesapeake Water Environment Association, the Federal Water Quality Management Association, and the Virginia Water Environment Association, this conference will address green infrastructure, stormwater management, and broad-based green practices related to energy and climate change adaptation for the water environment.
Researchers, regulators, designers, planners, technology developers, students, municipal agencies/utilities, facility managers/operators, industrial dischargers, and other environmental professionals from around the world will share and debate the current state of knowledge for sustainable approaches and green practices in the water environment.
