WEFMAX is unlike any other meeting providing the members of the House of Delegates, MA Leaders, and WEF Staff an opportunity to meet, discuss challenges, and share successes. This Asheville WEFMAX meeting is unique in that it is being held concurrent with AWWA’s regional meeting.
Meet WEF Vice President Paul Freedman and WEF House of Delegates Speaker Deborah Houdeshell at this meeting. Please take a moment to get to know your WEF Leadership prior to attending.

Meeting Schedule – Joint WEF/AWWA meeting
*** The Friday meeting will open as a joint WEF/AWWA session to allow everyone time to get acquainted, followed by scheduled time for each organization to conduct separate business sessions. The Welcome Reception, Friday and Saturday Breakfast, Friday Lunch, Social Event, Friday Group Dinner, and the Saturday meeting will be joint events.

*Additional information, including details on special events and meeting agendas will be sent to each attendee three weeks prior to the meeting. A Joint Group Winery Tour event is being planned -details to be provided to those that attend this meeting. Also, special rates will be offered for those that may want to do a Biltmore House Tour during their stay.

The NCWEA has blocked a limited number of hotel rooms at the Biltmore Hotel with a special rate per night of $189 single/double.
This rate is only available until 5:00 PM local time on Thursday, January 18, 2008. Attendees are responsible for making their own reservations by contacting the hotel directly. When making a reservation, please advise the hotel you are attending the “WEF/AWWA Regional Meeting”.

All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card. Guaranteed reservations must be cancelled by 7 days in advance of your arrival in order to avoid a no-show penalty of one night’s room/tax charge. For guest who would like to stay at the Hotel longer, this rate will be honored through Saturday, February 24. Credit identification will be required from each individual at check-in, in order that these charges may be billed to the individual’s account. All rates are subject to state and local taxes currently at 10.75%. Check-in time is 4:00 pm | Check-out time is 11:00 Noon.
Early Departure Fee: Strict Room Cancellation Policy
Should you need to cancel your hotel room reservation, you must call the hotel no later than 8 days prior to your date of arrival. If the room is cancelled within 7 days of your arrival, your deposit (one-night stay) is forfeited. Also, if the room is cancelled outside of 7 days prior to your arrival, the hotel may charge you $50 (cancellation fee).
Parking: Self parking is free. Valet parking is offered at $15 per day.
Weather: Temperature averages in March range from a daytime high of 42, to a night low of 27 degrees with an average of .14 “ of precipitation.
