One of WEF's newest committees, the EMS Committee, meets annually at WEFTEC® in October. Scope of committee activities include:

• Development of workshops, seminars, training, and technical sessions;
• Development of publications related to environmental management topics;
• Development of public outreach materials expressing pollution prevention and environmental management issues;
• Support of annual WEFTEC® conference held in October through the organization of seminars, workshops, and technical sessions.
