The WEF Disinfection Committee develops, coordinates, and conducts programs of general and technical information relating to the advancement of disinfection practices of wastewater effluents and residuals. The volunteer members of the Committee:
- Develop workshops and moderate technical sessions each year at WEFTEC®;
- Sponsor the biannual specialty conference Disinfection;
- author articles for WEF's technical journals; and
- provide comments to WEF Government Affairs on Federation Position Statements and U.S. government regulations and policies.
