The Energy and Water 2013 Conference
will focus on both energy use and production at water and wastewater
facilities, as well as water use at power plants. This webcast is an example
of the content that will be presented at the conference in May. Participate
in this featured webcast as an advanced virtual session geared towards
water and energy sector professionals. The papers being presented in this
webcast will also appear in the conference proceedings.
Dr. Radenka
Maric of the University of Connecticut will discuss Japan Blue Energy
Gasification Technology. This technology uses gasification to convert biomass
(biosolids) into a very rich hydrogen syngas, sometimes exceeding 45
percent.
Alex West of BioteQ Environmental Technologies will discuss
how an ion exchange sulfate removal method can increase cooling tower
water cycles of concentration. With this technique up to 99 percent of
the process water can be recovered, reducing the need for fresh water
supplies.
Jeanette Brown of the University of Connecticut will be the
moderator of this webcast.
