Data Quality and Validation Webcast Series
01/09/2013 - 1:00 - 3:00 pm Eastern
Introduction:
This webcast series
has now passed. Please check the Webcasts page for information on any
plans for future offerings. If you are interested in viewing the webcast
recordings, please use the GoToWebinar links below.
The goal of
this webcast series is to emphasize the importance of sound data for
planning purposes at wastewater treatment plants, particularly those that
are faced with upcoming effluent nutrient regulations, or stricter
regulations. An interactive workbook has been prepared for members in
question-and-answer format to allow plants to define how much sampling is
enough. This tool helps to define how many days of sampling are sufficient,
where samples should be taken, and what parameters should be analyzed. The
results of the workbook often are additional to prescribed permit
requirements, although some samples and parameters would correspond with
mandatory permit requirements. A number of case studies will be discussed to
exemplify sound sampling practices. The potential for on-line instrumentation
and impacts on laboratory practices will also be discussed.
Topics:
- The importance of sound data for
planning purposes.
- An interactive workbook has been developed to define
required sampling regimes. The webcast will demonstrate how to use the
workbook.
- Case studies of sampling issues and their resolutions.
- How can on-line instrumentation assist the sampling regime?
