EWA, JSWA, WEF 3rd Joint Conference - Sustainable Water Management in Response to 21st Century Pressures

The European Water Association (EWA), Japan Sewage Works Association (JSWA), and the Water Environment Federation (WEF) are pleased to present this 3rd Joint Specialty Conference.

Munich, Germany
5-9 May 2008

Conference Brochure - As of January 23, 2008

Managers, planners, and designers in water management are already dealing with a number of pressures such as new regulations, increases in water usage, greater demands in terms of risk avoidance, and changes in population demography. Now, it is obvious that the changes in weather bring new pressures.

This conference is focused on the practical consequences of the changes and how these can be mitigated and accommodated. The program will have a practical focus which fits in well with the interests of the delegates and exhibitors at IFAT 2008.

The conference will be composed of the following topics:

  • Coping with Climate Change and Disasters
  • Techniques and Energy
  • Finance, Demography, and Legislation
  • Organizational Structures

Full conference details are available on the EWA Website.

Please contact Nadine Schulte at EWA with questions (+49-2242-872-189 or Schulte@dwa.de ).

Papers presented at this specialty conference will be evaluated for inclusion in WEF's new peer-reviewed journal, Water Practice. Visit the Water Practice homepage for a list of participating conferences, information on submission, and recent issues.
