The Conference Program Committee is soliciting abstracts for oral presentations, workshops, and panel discussions to be presented at the conference.   The Committee is especially interested in topics that lend themselves to interactive panel discussions. Specific conference topics will include, but not be limited to, the following:

2. Agricultural Impacts and Manure Management
3. Bioenergy Technologies
4. Building Public Support & Addressing Political Issues
5. Conditioning and Dewatering Technologies
6. Environmental Management Systems and NBP Activities
7. Facilities Operation and Management
8. Future Opportunities/Trends
9. Land Application, Land Reclamation and Managing Nutrients
10. Marketing of Biosolids & Residuals Products
11. Odor Control
12. Pacific Northwest Regional Issues
13. Regulatory and Legal Issues
14. Research & Development Activities
15. Success Stories
16. Sustainability

Several criteria will be used to evaluate the abstracts, one of the most important being whether the results and experiences from the project are available for presentation.  Abstracts must be received no later than close of business on July 28, 2008.  The authors of the selected abstracts will be notified in early October and will need to complete a final manuscript.  Manuscripts will be subject to revision or rejection if lacking in quality.  In accordance with Federation policy, accepted authors who do not submit a manuscript by the required deadline will be removed from the program.

Authors of papers selected for this conference will have the opportunity to have their works reviewed and published in one of WEF’s peer-reviewed journals, Water Environment Research or Water Practice.
