John Mele is a 2005-2006 member of the Board of Trustees for the Water Environment Federation (WEF), an international organization of water quality professionals headquartered in Alexandria, Va.
He is currently Mayor of his municipality in N.J. and serves as Vice Chair of the County Planning Board Stormwater Technical Advisory Committee.
A WEF member since 1992, John currently serves on the Board of Trustees. |

In addition, he has been an active member of the New Jersey Water Environment Association (NJWEA) serving on a number of committees as membership chairperson and central section president. While at the State level he chaired and served on a number of committees as well as the States representative at the WEF House of Delegates.
He has been recognized at both the State and Section for his dedication, contribution and services to both the Association and the field of water and the environment. | |
